Everybody in our team were reading that email with excitment. It was forwarded by one of my office mates.
'Bring down your petrol and diesel cost by up to 27%'; this was the subject of the mail and it contained an advertisement about a gadget called FuelMAX. The manufacturers claim that the gadget, when fixed around the fuel hose drastically reduces the fuel consumption of the auto-mobile. But later we were able to find out the truth from the below listed web site. I gained a lot of knowledge about these various tricky products.
Its really worth going through the whole contents of this web site if you want to reduce your vehicle's fuel consumption in proper ways.

Internet's Secret Goldmine
I was browsing the net last night to find some good expired domain names. I could read an interesting article "How to Uncover The Internet's 'Secret' Goldmine" by Simon Grabowski, CEO of GetResponse.com.
The author had listed the domain names which had turned them into hot commodities because they are memorable, short and suggestive. Its really amazing to think about the profit the sellers of these domain names would have gained by the transactions.
- business.com sold for $7.5 million
- asseenontv.com sold for $5 million
- altavista.com sold for $3.3 million
- loans.com sold for $3 million
- autos.com sold for $2.2 million
- wallstreet.com sold for $1.03 million
- forsalebyowner.com sold for $835,000
- drugs.com sold for $825,000
- cinema.com sold for $700,000
- art.com sold for $450,000
- engineering.org sold for $199,000
- fruits.com sold for $160,000
- perfect.com sold for $94,000
It means that you're more likely to win the lottery than find a good domain name.

Phishing / Pharming
Do you know the actual meanings of these two actions ?
Phishing involves the receipt of an e-mail message that appears to come from a legitimate enterprise.
Pharming attacks compromise at the DNS server level, re-directing you to a hacker's site when you type in a company's Web address.

Google Desktop - review
I wanted to write a review of Google Desktop 2.0 (beta), but I din't have time due to the usual workload I had before the application release. Today I got to read this review which I want to share.
Review: Google Desktop 2.0 Beta
I would like to add some more comments about searching and indexing which are not mentioned in the above review.
I have been using the previous release Google Desktop Search (GDS) for more than 2 months so that I could find out the new features with this new release.
1.
In GDS, the user can't specify the locations which are to be indexed. This was very annoying to me as I wanted to index and search many documentations which are available in the network folders within my office. Thank to Googlers. They have solved it now. You can give any folders including network paths to be indexed.
2.
With this release users can set the application to encrypt both the index and data files. This would be a great news for the users who need more information security.
3.
Results are displayed while you type the search phrase. The response time is very good in my experience as I didn't wait a single second for it to display the results.
I recommend to install this software. Atleast you will enjoy the search feature.
