Recently I read an article about changing our characters to achieve the goals in our careers. It points out that our characters determine whether we could achieve our goals or not. We should improve our characters by adopting the inferred qualities such as discipline, confidence, resourcefulness etc., which are required to achieve the goals.
The steps you follow in your career are;
- Setup your goals
- Identify the qualities required to ahieve those goals (particularly the ones you are lacking)
- Prepare yourself to improve such qualities
- Your goals become ahievable.
Its worth reading the whole article
here.
I accept the fact that some missing qualities in ourselves might affect us in achieving our goals. This would be an issue only for the people who set goals and try hard to achieve them. People, who face the life as it comes in, will not feel the concept :-)
